To:<concerned@boycottcreative.com>

Hello,

Please post this response on behalf of Newegg.com. Thanks.

Official Statement:

It has come to our attention that a recent post on the site claimed Newegg had severed its relationship with Creative. This is a false statement and was not issued by an entity authorized to speak on behalf of newegg.com. Newegg does not and will not comment on product quality or provide product reviews. For this we count on you, our customers, and our online forums like EggXpert.

Please disregard the blog entry and all references to the information it contains.

Thank you and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Sincerely:

Newegg PR”

There will be no ads. Thanks for all your support!

Recently, it seems corporations are only doing what is in their best interest. Long gone are the days of customer service and caring about customer satisfaction.

A tech company that makes “digital entertainment” products for the digital world, is a prime example of what may seem like an incorrigible issue.

Since the launch of Windows Vista, this company has been unwilling to make drivers for its flagship products that actually work on the operating system. A user on their message boards by the name of daniel_k took it upon himself to become a major contributor to the site and to their customers. This user wrote functional Vista drivers that this company was not willing to conjure up themselves. In fact, Creative is doing this so people have to buy newer models of sound cards that *could be supported with the proper drivers.* Their money-hogging tactics have been unveiled in the most egregious and shocking of ways.

What happened is that the legal department decided they no longer wanted daniel_k’ help, accusing him of stealing their property and threatening legal action against him if he does not terminate his coding and distribution thereof. In effect, they are screwing the customers who benefited from his work.

Nice job, corporate monsters!

If you’ve come to the same conclusion many people have, NOW is the time to boycott Creative until they can get their act together!

Please email updates and comments to concerned@boycottcreative.com as we may not be able to get a message board put up in the next few days. Check out the LOLz section. Please contribute to the LOLz if you can!

I apologize for the formatting. Two things to address: this was made on iWeb and it displays fine on any Mac. It displays well on Firefox on the PC side, but the margins are a bit blown. I’ve attempted to fix this. Second, I am not in this for the money. People on the internet are, well, paranoid. I am *not* going to put up AdSense because 1) I don’t need the money from it, and 2) I wouldn’t make any money, since most tech savvy people (the ones most likely to read this) don’t click on ads.
